Emma Jacobs

ARTIST EDUCATOR & ART CONSULTANCY

Emma Jacobs is an artist educator and freelance art consultant. She is a practising artist and has an MA in Art Education, Culture and Practice from UCL. Emma has curated exhibitions in public spaces and local institutions. She is committed to the arts as a powerful force for learning, developing her practice through participatory projects in local communities.

Emma has worked as an art subject leader in schools for 12 years, designing creative curriculums, developing workshops and participant led family events. She has over 15 years’ experience of managing and delivering visual arts projects with young people, working closely with diverse audiences and artists.

Emma has developed projects funded by Barnet Youth and Culture for Youth Access Fund, and the Redrow Community Fund. Her projects have been exhibited at the artsdepot N12, Royal Academy of Arts (YASS), National Gallery (Take One Picture), billboards in central London (Show & Tell Photography), UCL, London School of Economics and Resource for London.

Emma worked in television production at the BBC for 12 years as a director and assistant producer, making programmes and presentation links for CBeebies and CBBC.
